We're taking a break from curbside
Hoarding delicious worldly food starts here
and ends April 18
when life is sweet say thank you and celebrate. And when life is bitter say thank you and grow."Shauna Niequist
I hope this note finds all of you well and safe. It's been a month!
A month of so many endearing curbside moments with lots of you. No handshakes. No hugs. Smiles and winks behind masks. Exchanges with gloved hands and "distant" conversations. It's been it's own kind of beautiful. And for that, we can't thank you enough. It's during times like this when we know we've been in the right place with the right people the whole time. Your acts of kindness have touched our hearts.
But it's time for a break! It's time to do all those things we do when we close -except travel. We have lots of fun ideas of how to attack this new reality of ours head on.
We are looking at new menu ideas. I did get that one inspiring trip in to Morocco before we were all grounded!
We have some fun plans for the patio. "watch Steve play with bricks" says Liz -she got a really cool idea while in Morocco!
We want to play with the ATLaS concept -feel free to chime in!
We've got some drive-by pop-ups planned.
And perfect timing! We got a pottery kiln just before this all went down. So lots of peaceful moments in the studio, Ava and Steve have been joining me!
So this is it for the moment. We have stocked up so you can as well.
We'll be in touch, send us notes and honk when you drive by, we'll be missing you.
Peace. Love. Stay safe. Grow. Grow vegetables. Watch bread rise. And if nothing else works, there's Tik tok!
